Proxima Bio is working on the next generation of medicines; degraders. Degraders co-opt the body’s natural machinery for recycling problematic proteins, marking disease-causing proteins for destruction. By using the cell’s own machinery, Proxima Bio will be able to find medicines for diseases that currently have no treatment by addressing targets that cannot be drugged with existing technologies.
